Finally making their way into the mall, Jess already felt better about everything by just walking through the doors. It was strange how you could be in the worst mood of your life and then step foot into a mall and feel like the happiest person in the world. And today, Jess definitely needed it. Being with Marissa was also her little stress reliever. Every time they hung out, Jess was sure to have a good time and obviously that came in handy.
She rolled her eyes, "Whatever. I like bailing you out, it's the highlight of my days. So thank you for being my source of entertainment every weekend," she teased with a laugh. "Seriously though, don't worry about it. Like I said, you'll pay for my drinks tonight and we'll be even. Tonight is definitely a drinking night so by the time we're done, the bill will be what you owe me. So be warned," she teased again with a wink.
"Let's go in Express," she said as they were near the store. When they both walked in, she was almost blinded by the bright white store with all of the different colored clothes. Absentmindedly she made her way to the closest rack and began going through each item of clothing. "You know what's funny? I was here when you called. Well I only had time to go to Victoria's Secret until I was graced by your phone call," she said with a smile.
"I always forgot how much better it was to shop with a friend than it is to shop alone. When was the last time we did this? It's nice to have a girl's day, we definitely need to have them more often and that's a fact."

The mall was one of Marissa’s cooling down points. She could have just murdered someone, stuffed them in a bag and gave it to a hobo and just by walking into the mall, her nerves and mind almost went to a screeching halt. She took in a deep breath let it out in a laugh when Jess told her how she was going to pay her back. “Oh, God. If I pay for your drinks tonight, it’s definitely going to be my bail out money for about another month,” Marissa teased, giggling a little.
Nodding slowly, Marissa walked right into Express. This bright pink blouse was the first thing Marissa saw and she kind of ran over to it. It was a low cut halter that totally emphasized the boobs. It was real cute. Listening to Jess, Marissa nodded. “Dude, we really do. I don’t know why we don’t. Oh, that’s right, I’m always in jail or working and you’re always with… Daniel! Is that even his real name?” Her face twisted in confusion and she shook it off. Looking back down at the shirt, she looked for her size. One last medium. “Perfect!” This will be for the date that me and Chris will go on, that HASN’T HAPPENED YET! Her mind screamed but she took in a deep breath and let it out slowly.
“Is this cute on me... well in front of me but… you get it.” She asked holding it up to her body, tilting her head to the side.

Jess laughed and shrugged her shoulders, "Well don't say I didn't warn you!" She picked up a few dresses and shirts as she made her way through the store. All were different styles and shapes. Anything looked good on her which was a great trait to have. "No, his real name is actually Dana. Of course his real name is Danny. And I'm sure you'd always be with Mr. Downer if you had the balls to ask him on a date. I mean really, it's about time you fucked this guy and got it over with. Maybe he'll stop being depressed. Oh my god, Marissa! You could be the next Jesus! Healing depressed men by sleeping with them," she laughed and then looked at the shirt Marissa was holding up.
She bit her bottom lip using her incredible detective eye for fashion and then nodded. "Definitely. It's gonna make your boobs look amazing and it's really cute. I'm sure Chris will love it," She said like a five year old making kissing sounds. It was ironic how they both did not like each other's lovers. But that was typical in best friend relationships, I guess. It seemed like double dating was only real in the movies. Thinking about going on a double with Marissa and Chris made her want to vomit. She didn't know why he was so emo all the time.
"And I'm serious about fucking him. Show the guy what you're made of then maybe we'll get a smile from him and he'll wear something other than black," she smirked to herself and then started over to the dressing room. "Come on let's go try these on," she said as they both walked into the same stall. They were used to seeing each other half naked, it didn't bother Jessica obviously since she was far from shy. She put on her first dress which was a light blue, figuring it'd make her eyes pop, "What'd you think? If you were a boy would you wanna do me?" She asked striking a few poses with a laugh.

Marissa learned how to take deep breaths when she was around Jessica. She learned that Jessica was blunt and she knew she had to deal with it. She was her best friend. It was a mandatory that she took it. So, she learned how to control herself whenever Jess said something Marissa would normally blow up at. So, when Jessica started to talk about Chris and how she really needed to fuck him, she took in those breaths and just basically let it go in one ear and out the other. She never said anything though, about how annoyed she was when Jess talked bad about Chris. Mostly because Marissa had no room to talk. She hate Danny and she talked bad about him all the time.
“I can’t just fuck him like that, Jess. I mean, c’mon! I’m not like you. I can’t just be like, ‘hey, lets fuck.’ Because if he denies it and tells me no, I will fucking kill him. You know that. So, I rather just wait until he makes the moves. Which will be never because he’s too pussy.” Again, she had to breathe. Sometimes, she wondered what went on in Mr. Christopher’s head. He acts like he likes her. He really does! She just wants to know what she’s doing wrong. Is she sending out the wrong message? Does she blow up on people too much? Whatever it was, she was going to stop because she REALLY fucking liked him.
After Jessica changed, Marissa looked at her, laughing. “Uhm, I kinda wanna do you all the time, so yes,” she joked, as she pulled her shirt off and put on the cute pink halter she had just picked out. She looked at herself in the mirror and her eyes got wide. “My tits look ginormous!” She turned to the side and huffed. "Is it cute enough to go to work in?"

Jess raised her eyebrow and her face turned serious, "If he doesn't want to fuck you then he must be blind. I highly doubt anyone can turn you down because you got it goin' on girlfrand," she said in her best ghetto accent and snapped in a Z formation then laughed at herself. "He is a pussy though, but he'll come around. You should just make the first move, I see the way he looks at you. He wants to tap that so bad that I bet he jizz's in his pants every time you talk to him. Maybe that's why he hasn't made a move, he can't! He jizzes in his pants and then can't move or talk so he just stands there all sad looking because he wants to kiss you but is embarrassed because he just expolded in himself. Wow, I should be a therapist," she teased.
"Awe, thanks baby," she teased with a giggle then put on her next dress. When she heard Marissa's voice, she looked over and smiled. "Okay, that's the shirt you have to wear if you finally decide to put a move on this guy. You look amazing, and it's definitely cute enough to go to work in. I bet that you'll get better tips too when your boobs look like that," she laughed. She looked in the mirror at the new dress she was wearing, and made a funny face. "Yeah, I'm over this," she said and moved on to the next dress.
As she kept trying on the clothes she picked out, she asked, "So what'd you do last night besides kick the shit out of the latte guy?"

“Okay, Chris DOES want me; I know that. He texts me it all the time,” Marissa said but then she quickly realized how immature, juvenile and ridiculous that sounds. “Don’t fucking say anything back or else I’ll fucking blow your brains out with the gun you know I keep under my bed,” she threatened and looked at her with that look Marissa gets before she’s going to strike; but we all know Marissa would never beat Jessica up. So, Jessica had nothing to worry about.
She looked down at her shirt, nodding as Jessica complimented how it looked. “My tits do look bigger, almost bigger than your tig bittys,” she teased and shimmied her chest towards Jessica. They were best friends. They were allowed to do that.
“Well, last night… I don’t know, actually. I was bored, I know that for a fact. I went to get a fix from Tommy and then I downed the shit he gave me within seconds. I went to the book store and I was about to buy this sappy love story but then I got sidetracked in the erotica section and bought about three of those books.” She twisted her face and sat down on the bench. “I went to pick up my pay check, cashed that and… then I beat up latte guy. So, basically, it was a normal night for Marissa.” She laughed. “What about you? Did you do anything fun?”

Jess smiled at her little comment and then put her hands up defensively at her little rant then laughed. It was funny to see her get so worked up over this guy. She let it go, she really didn't care if they talked about Chris or not. Jess hated his existence but if he made Marissa happy, then so be it. She tried on the rest of her shirts and dresses that she picked out and settled on the blue dress and a couple of different colored shirts. She dressed back up in her own clothes, holding the desired items in her hands and waited for Marissa to be done.
Jess laughed as Marissa shimmied her boobs at her, and leaned against the wall as she told her what she did last night. When she mentioned Tommy her heart skipped a beat and began pounding faster. She tried not to let her facial expression change as she just nodded her head. She laughed when she laughed and honestly wasn't listening to anything she just said.
She wondered if she should just tell Marissa and get it over with. But she couldn't find the words. She set herself up for this, stupid move Jess. "Me? No, nothing really. I can't really remember anything from last night. I drank a little too much. So, a normal night for Jess as well," she said laughing. "I'm gonna go pay for these real quick," she said ending that convo before she could ask anything else. With that she left the dressing room, purse in hand. Once she was out of Marissa's sight, she let out a deep breath and walked up to the register to pay for everything that she was holding. This would be a long day.

Nothing? Jessica for once, doing nothing but drink? That’s weird. Something always happens, something she always remembers. Marissa nodded slowly as Jessica walked out of the dressing room. “Okay, I’ll be right out,” she said before sighing. Something was up and Marissa was going to find out. She quickly changed shirts and checked her phone before she left the dressing room. She had a text from Chris. Her heart fluttered… which was weird. She hit her chest, telling her heart to stop but it just hurt. “That’s going to leave a bruise.” She opened the text and read it to herself. ‘Can’t wait to see you back at work tomorrow. Maybe this time you won’t break a bottle on someone’s head and accidentally cut me open with a broken piece of glass. ’ She laughed and texted back, ‘Shut up, chump. You liked it when I fixed up you afterwards.’ She sent it and closed her phone, slipping it in her pocket and picking up her purse and leaving the dressing room. She left the shirt there. She didn’t want to impress Chris with her tits. She saw Jessica in line and walked toward to the register. She wouldn’t tell Jessica about the text. She felt weird talking to Jessica about someone she didn’t like. “Hi.” [HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA JUST KIDDING!] “Can we get a smoothie?” she asked and laughed. “I’m craving one. I need some sugar in me. Stat.” She said, fixing her purse and her shirt. “And I need to get a new belly button ring.”

Jess handed the lady over her platinum credit card and stashed it back in her wallet after she put it through the machine. She had too much on her mind and shopping was definitely her stress reliever. The lady put all her things into a shopping bag and handed it over to Jess, "Have a good day!" Jess smiled and thanked her, wishing her the same. She turned around and Marissa was there. She laughed with her and nodded, "Sounds like a plan." She noticed her empty hands and raised her brow, "You're not getting the cute boob shirt?" she asked surprised.
As they continued talking they walked to the food court and got in the long line at the Robeks stand. "Have you ever noticed how there's always an insane line every single time there's a smoothie stand? It's like, a magnet or something. It's kind of like you with jail. Or me with sex," she laughed and then squinted her eyes to read all of the different kinds of smoothies.
"Do you know what you're getting? I can't decide. Why does every single life decision have to be so complicated. Why can't it just be like banana or strawberry smoothie? Why does it have to be strawberry-banana? It's like impossible to have two things at once, I swear. You know why they do that? It's cause we all have such a hard time making up our mind. That's the problem with people nowadays," clearly she wasn't actually talking about smoothies. She was talking about Tommy and Danny. But Marissa didn't know that, nor will she find out just at this moment.

“Yeah, no. Cute boobs aren’t a good look for me. I’m more of a cute face,” Marissa stated with a slight chuckle and a smile. She rarely did that, smile. The look on her face was more a scowl, maybe a smirk. But rarely a smile. Only when she was at work, beating someone’s ass or listening to some good music.
As they neared the food court, Marissa could see the line. It wasn’t just a line, it was a fucking gathering. There was so many people, so many eager beavers for smoothies. It was ridiculous. Listening to Jessica, Marissa laughed. “Good analogy, Jess!” She praised, patting her friends shoulder with a soft chuckle. “I’m proud of you. That was good.” Marissa was a bit of a smarty pants. She could’ve graduated a year earlier than what she did, but she decided against it. She didn’t want to be seen as some weird smart lady.
She listened to Jessica go on and on about smoothies and stitched her brow together. Something told her that she wasn’t talking about smoothies anymore. “Sweetie, it’s just smoothies. You can order them however you want…” she trailed off and chuckled. “Do you want to tell me anything? Like… why you’re making such a big deal out of smoothies?”

"Psh, you're a cute everything which is why you're my best friend," she teased with a laugh. She shifted her weight on to her other leg impatiently. This line was ridiculous. As Marissa patted her shoulder she giggled. "Thanks! They don't happen very often but when they do, it's usually worth the wait," she replied referring to her good analogies. She knew that her little smoothie rant didn't make any sense but in her mind it did. And once she started talking she couldn't shut up which is what happened when she held secrets back from Marissa. The only thing Marissa didn't know about her was what happened when she was 16. Then again, no one knew. Except for her Aunt and Parents of course. Not even Danny knew... or Tommy.
Sure it was hard keeping that in, but who really cared? That was the past. She couldn't change it. And of course, Marissa didn't know what happened between her and Tommy a few hours ago. Marissa wasn't stupid, Jess knew that she would catch on. Yes, she did want to tell her something to get it off of her chest but should she? She wasn't really sure.
"Actually," she started but then stopped, "I'm just really stressed." She knew her next question would be why so she decided to finish her sentence. "I have a huge shoot coming up soon and I think I gained a couple of pounds, that's all," wow, what a liar. "Thank god for airbrushing," she said with a nervous laugh. She didn't know why she was so scared to tell Marissa, it's not like she'd be mad. In fact, she'd probably be really happy. Marissa would pay Jess to go out with someone else, that's how much she hated Danny. Maybe she didn't tell her cause she was scared that Marissa would call Danny right away and tell him? No, she wouldn't do that... right?

Before Marissa could ask why one Earth Jessica was stressed, her friend answered. Ah, the stresses of being a model. She nodded, as if she understood when she really didn’t. “You don’t look like you gained any weight.” Marissa raised her brow. “So for some reason, I have this weird vibe that you’re lying, but you wouldn’t lie to me, now would you.” She said the last part slowly, her one eye brow up and a smirk across her lips. “I mean we’re best friends. Lying isn’t nice.”
The line moved up a bit, and Marissa was in front of the line. She looked at all the possibilities and she decided not to get her regular. “A Pineapple Pleasure please,” she said and looked at Jessica. “And what would you like, best friend that should never ever lie to me? I mean, you bailed me out of jail, so I should pay for you.” Her voice was so fake, it was pretty funny. Even if something was going on with Jessica, Marissa knew that Jessica would tell her when she wanted. But, Marissa liked being a bitch, obviously.

Jessica acted surprised when Marissa told her that she didn't look like she gained weight. She actually lost weight but that wasn't apart of her story. "Really? You're just too nice to me," she said with a smile as she stepped up when the line moved. When Marissa told her about her vibe, Jess's eyes widened a bit but not by too much. "Lying? No, I don't lie. Well, not to you," this wasn't lying. It was just not telling the truth. Sure, she'd stick with that. "When I said pay for my drinks I meant alcohol, just so you remember correctly," she teased trying desperately to move on from the conversation.
"Well best friend that I never lie to because you're my best friend, I'm going to have the Malibu Peach," she said and looked at the person who was about to make their smoothies. She nodded and smiled, "Coming right up," with that, she went and started blending their drinks. "What would I lie about to you anyway? I mean, what could I be hiding?" she wondered if she could see right through her. Chances were that she could.

Tommy made his way toward the HotDog on a Stick stand. One of his customers worked behind the counter and he was due for another sale. Walking up, he leaned across the counter and called to the scraggly teen as if they were friends. "Dude, how the hell are you? Gosh, tell your brother I said hey." He put out his hand and did the trade off, then the kid handed him a limeade. "I'll see you around ok? Maybe we can all get together and hang out one of these nights. You bro still has my number right?" This game was getting too easy. "Yeah, of course. See you, Tommy." The teen replied and then Tommy walked away with his drink and a pocket full of cash.
"Hey, beautiful." Tommy said spotting Jessi and Marissa. He walked up, smiling at both girls. "You know the best part of being so connected? Free lemonade." With a chuckle, he took a sip of his drink and then lowered it to his side. "Am I intruding on girl talk?" The look on Jessica's face was hard to read at the moment and Marissa, well he didn't know her expressions very well at all.

Marissa laughed as Jessica ordered her drink. Whatever was going on with Jess, Marissa was going to find out. She didn't know how, but she was going to. She could be Sherlock Holmes for a few hours, minus the hat. They weren't really her style. "You could be hiding anything. You're pregnant, which I would probably kill you. You cheated on Danny, which I would throw a fucking party. You could be a spy for the Soviet Union," she said, laughing. "Anything... but, I will find out. Just know that." She smirked and saw their smoothies being placed down in front of them. She handed the lady a few bucks and picked up her drink.
Turning around, Marissa saw Tommy. Oh, Tommy. One of the greatest drug dealers ever. He always had what she wanted. "Well, being connected should get you something." She took a sip of her smoothie and she moaned softly to herself. She loved smoothies, really. That's all it really was. "Girl talk? Oh, no. This one won't talk so it's more of Marissa talk... I guess," she stitched her eye brows together and shrugged.
"But, Tommy, I'm going to stop by your place within the next few days to get some stuff." Marissa winked, one of those real noticeable winks and laughed. "If that's okay."
